Wendy's Reward Wendy Houvenaghel selected for Commonwealth Games After knocking on the dooor of selection all year it has finally been confirmed, Wendy will be in the English team travelling to Melbourne, Australia for the Commonwealth Games in March.
She described the selection as, "Thrilling," and now after short rest following a busy season she will begin preparing to be in top form for March. |

Wendy's World Cup Wonder Wendy Houvenaghel takes silver medal in her first ever World Cup Race Hot on the heals of being selected for the Commonwealth Games, Wendy Houvenaghel represented Great Britain for the first time in the Moscow round of the track World Cup, and did so with unprecedented success. In her speciality event, the 3000 metre pursuit, she qualified with the fastest time, and was only narrowly beaten in the final by the Chinese rider, Li Mei. |

Tom Southam returns to Europe After a winter down under, Tom is on top of the world If hard work and application are anything to go by 2006 will be a big year for Tom Southam. To train in the best conditions, Tom spent the winter in Australia, and has now returned to Europe with a lot of miles in his legs and is ready to race. He is currently at a training camp in Tuscany with his pro team, Barloworld and is looking forward to his first race of 2006. |

Wendy Wins World Cup Brilliant win in pursuit of Gold. Wendy Houvenaghel won the final round of the track pursuit World Cup in Sydney, Australia at the weekend. This netted her enough points to take the World Cup title overall, and augurs well for her achieving the first of her goals for 2006; a medal in the Commonwealth Games. |
